  • Have a custom domain connected (recommended, but optional)

📘 Step-by-Step Instructions

🟦 Part 1: Create the Lead Capture Form or Page

  1. Go to Sites → Funnels or Sites → Forms in your HighLevel account
  2. Choose:
    • Funnel if you want a full landing page
    • Form if you want to embed on an existing page or site
  3. For Funnels:
    • Create a new funnel → Add a step → Choose a template or start blank
    • Drag in a form block or CTA button
  4. For Forms:
    • Create a new form → Add fields: name, email, phone (optional)
    • Customize styling and save the form

🟨 Part 2: Route Leads into CRM (Contacts)

  1. Go to Automations → Click + Create Workflow
  2. Choose Start From Scratch
  3. Trigger: Choose Form Submitted or Funnel Form Submission
  4. Action 1: Add Add Contact Tag → e.g. “Lead – Free Download”
  5. Action 2: Add Add to Pipeline / Opportunity (optional)
  6. Action 3: Add Send Email → this starts your sequence

  1. In the same workflow, add multiple “Send Email” actions
  2. After each email, add a “Wait” step (e.g., 1–2 days)
  3. Structure your sequence like:
    • Email 1 – “Here’s your free download”
    • Email 2 – “Quick tip on X”
    • Email 3 – “Ready to take the next step?”
  4. Use dynamic tags like {{contact.first_name}} for personalization

  1. Use Preview Mode to test your funnel or form
  2. Submit a test lead → verify contact appears in CRM
  3. Ensure the email sequence starts and delivers correctly
  4. Review analytics for open/click rates inside the Workflow view
